Do you need to register for GST?

Thresholds, voluntary registration and what changes once you're registered.

Online seller packing orders

GST is currently 9% in Singapore. Registration is compulsory when your taxable turnover exceeds S$1 million in a 12-month period, or when you expect it to.

Voluntary registration

Registering early lets you claim GST on purchases, which can help if your customers are mostly GST-registered businesses. You must stay registered for at least two years.

Once registered

You'll charge GST on taxable supplies, issue tax invoices, and file a GST F5 return every quarter within one month of the period end.
